Hello everyone, I was hoping someone here could shed some light on this subject. I've acquired multiple versions of Windows 95 on eBay and other such sites, including different floppy disk versions. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the difference is between these versions without having to install each one? I know the 13 disk version is the standard/original floppy disk version, but I have a 30 disk version copyrighted 1995, and a 23 disk version copyrighted 1996. Stalker girl modern family. Check out for a better look. Any help/ideas would be appreciated. It's not critical, but I'm just curious. I think I might have a slightly different revision of the 1995 OEM edition. It's a set of 33 disks (34 including the boot disk). They have a serial number of 000-14276 (Boot disk) and go sequentially up to disk 30, then 31 through 33 are labeled sequentially starting from 000-29432. They seem to be from a type of kit of sorts as they are the on the same type of unlabeled floppy that Microsoft used for their disks, and the labels are the real ones with proper incrementing serials, but the disks appear to have been used for something else before the disks since they have another label behind. I don't believe it's a bootleg copy because the media looks identical to other Microsoft disks I have from the same time, and the labels look flawless. To me it seems it was some type of kit from MS where they sent the floppies and labels, and the floppy images on a CD or some sorts. EDIT: If someone needs an image of 31-33 I could make a copy of them, the rest are probably not needed since they appear to just be the standard 30 floppy OEM. Most likely of 95 OSR2 (23 disks) and OSR1.5 (30 disks) Is OSR 1.5 really exists? I tried to seek it in Google. As for, so for. If make conclusions from the BA archives, then appears that: Retail have 13 disks + boot disk - Microsoft Windows 95 (4.00.950) (3½).rar OSR 1.0 have 21 disks + boot disk - Microsoft Windows 95A (4.00.950) (OSR1) (3½).rar OSR 2.0 have 22 disks + boot disk - Microsoft Windows 95B (4.00.1111) (OSR2) (3½).rar OSR 2.? Have 28 disks + boot disk - Microsoft Windows 95B (4.00.1111) (OSR2) (3½) (alt).rar Last archive OSR 2.? Differ from OSR 2.0 by file dates. ![]() Its files dated by 24 August 1996 11:11:1 2 whereas OSR 2.0 files dated by 24 August 1996 11:11:1 0, also some minor differences in Readme.txt and Setup.txt files, maybe some else, didn't check yet. There are also 15 and 16-disk versions on eBay ('Windows 95, 15 original floppy disk' and '95 UPGRADE 3.5 16 disk total, plus box'). And it turns out that this 30-disk version does not coincide with any known distributives. So it would be very curious to look what's inside. My Windows 95 Retail CHS comes with 24 disks, including the boot disk. Some language? OK, then I can say also about russian versions (although it's offtopic here actually). Russian Retail have 14 disks and Russian OSR 2.0 have 20 disks, excluding boot disks. CHS = Chinese (Simplified). It's naturally going to have more disks, as it has stuff like IME's (Input Method Editors) and fonts with thousands of characters needed to write Chinese, that non-East Asian versions don't have. You'll find that CHT (Chinese (Traditional)), Japanese, and Korean versions are also larger than non-East Asian versions.
